In 2025, Pilot Station Pizza entered an exciting new chapter under the ownership of Sam and Jack Stanfield, whose vision is to elevate the venue while honouring the heritage and community spirit that has made it a local favourite. With a passion for hospitality and a deep connection to the South West Rocks community, the Stanfield family is committed to shaping Pilot Station Pizza into a destination known for premium ingredients, thoughtful craftsmanship, and memorable dining experiences.

Our name pays tribute to one of the most significant landmarks in the region — the State Heritage-listed Pilot Station, located on the Headland between the award-winning Horseshoe Bay and Back Creek Entrance. In the early days of coastal settlement, this historic facility played a vital role in guiding ships safely through the headlands and coastal waters of the Macleay Valley. It stands today as a symbol of the area’s maritime history and enduring connection to the sea.

Inspired by this heritage and the natural beauty of the coastline, Pilot Station Pizza blends traditional techniques with modern creativity, producing pizzas that are both comforting and refined. Every pizza & pasta is crafted with care, using quality ingredients and a genuine love for food that brings people together.

Our team is proudly local. We employ a fantastic group of staff, many of whom are young people from the community gaining their first experience in the workplace. Providing opportunities for local youth to learn valuable life skills in a supportive environment is something we believe strongly in.
